- Turn off your sprinkler system / un-hook garden hoses: With freezing temperatures on the horizon, it’s crucial to turn off your sprinkler system. A frozen system can lead to costly repairs and damage.
PRO TIP: Now, let’s talk about decorations. When retrieving your holiday decorations from storage, be sure to check for spiders, especially under the house. In certain areas, like ours, black widow spiders can be abundant. Take precautions to ensure everyone’s safety.

Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients:
- 1 3/4 cups pumpkin puree
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 unbaked pie crust
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C). Continue baking for an additional 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
