Warm dry air is changed to cool, moist air and the heat of the outside air is used to evaporate water, causing a cooling effect. The advantages can be that they work very well in dry climates and costs less to purchase, install, and operate. The disadvantages can be that they add moisture to the air, so it may not work as well on humid days and it may negatively affect indoor air quality.
